Ooooh, this Italian inspired Low Carb Strawberry Basil Lemonade is a refreshing sugar free lemonade treat. It's easy to make and kid friendly...unless you add a little splash of vodka (wink).

🥘Ingredients:

  • 6 strawberries *Smashed with a fork
  • ¼ cup Lemon Juice about 1 lemon juiced
  • 2-3 tablespoon allulose * to taste
  • 16 oz Mineral Water
  • 6 basil leaves washed and divided
  • ice cubes *for each glass

Optional Garnish

  • Mint leaves
  • lemon slices

👩🏾‍🍳How to make the Strawberry Basil Lemonade:

  • Place strawberries in a large bowl and crush with a fork. You don’t need to pulverize them, just enough to break them up so that they can fit through a straw. Add lemon juice, stir and set aside. If you’ve decided to sweeten it up, add the allulose.
  • When ready to assemble, add ½ of strawberry puree to each glass. Add 3 fresh basil leaves and a couple of ice cubes. Pour mineral water over top and serve with paper straws.

Nope. It's best fresh. And, it's so quick that you won't need to.

What kind of alcohol should I add to make it boozy?

This drink is great with vodka or prosecco. A good rule of thumb is about 1.5 oz but you're the boss here.
