Portuguese Keto Pork Chops

They’re seasoned, fried and then simmered in a luscious Keto Bechamel sauce that’s going to knock your socks off….
Sauce
- ¾ cup Low Carb Bechamel Sauce
Make this first. Don’t worry, it’s super easy and quick.
- ½ tsp Oregano * to taste
Garnish – Optional
- Lemon Wedges
- capers
- chives
👨🏿🍳How to make the Portuguese Pork Chops:
- Salt and pepper the pork chops and let them sit (covered) at room temp for 30-45 minutes if time allows. If not, continue on.
Doing this is sort of like a dry brine that keeps the meat juicy. Pork is one of those meats that can go from rare to chewy shoe leather quickly. This REALLY helps that from happening.
- Make the Bechamel Sauce. The link to the Low Carb Bechamel is in the ingredients section if you need it.
- Heat a large frying pan on medium heat and when hot, add oil and wait until it shimmers. Fry chops on each side for 4-5 minute or until they turn a golden color. (Only flip once).
- Once fried on each side add ¾ cup Bechamel sauce to the pan and turn heat to low. Sprinkle the oregano over the sauce. Simmer for about 10 minutes. The pork chops should be 165°F in the center.
- Serve with additional sauce and your choice of sides.
