Brace yourself it’s almost Pumpkin Spice Season!

Pumpkin smoothies, lattes, pumpkin bread, pumpkin muffins, and of course the original pumpkin pie are all making their way back into our lives.  I love it.

I know we all make fun of the girls drinking their pumpkin spice lattes while wearing their white button up shirts, leggings with knee high boots and declaring their love of Autumn.

But guess what….I love pumpkin everything and my guess is that you do too! Still funny though.

There are so many great fall recipes that need pumpkin spice

You can save a lot of money by making your own pumpkin pie spice!

I bet you already have most, if not all of the spices that you need in your spice rack.

This homemade pumpkin pie spice recipe only calls for four ingredients.

Cinnamon, ginger, cloves and nutmeg are all this spice needs. You could add allspice if you want to but I prefer it without it.

Store bought spices can get pricey, especially if you are talking about spice blends. And don’t think marketers haven’t noticed how much we love this flavor…especially when the leaves begin to change color.

I have found the best deals on spices at Amazon and my tiny local Mexican Store. However, as much as I hate to say this…the spices on Amazon have been a bit fresher.

I am not sure if it is because of their bulk sales or the packaging. I do still buy everything I possible can locally…it can be difficult where I live.

This cinnamon is ah-mazingly spicy and tastes like Christmas. It’s also organic and comes in a resealable package so that you can squeeze all of the air out of it and keep your spice fresh.

I almost didn’t post this recipe because it’s so easy but we are big on saving money here at Castleinthemountains.com so I decided to share.

Really all you have to do it put everything in a jar and shake it up. Some of the best things in life are the simplest….

Yup, it's pumpkin spice season – it was once called Fall or Autumn. Now peaple are asking for pumpkin spice everything. I was in the park the other day and I saw ants gather at a pumpkin spice latte spill – they made plans do brunch and yoga and then ran to find more pumpkin spice. There are no carbs in the spice itself, so if you don't want to spend too much on the premixed spice here's the recipe. It's Keto and it's really easy.
