What do you get when a cheeseburger and burrito fall in love? The Low Carb Cheeseburgerito!
It’s got elements of both the classic cheeseburger and a beefy burrito. This is the ultimate Keto comfort food all wrapped up into one delicious meal.
This cheeseburger burrito recipe fusion was inspired by yours truly trying to avoid going out to the grocery store in a blizzard a few years ago. I hope you love it as much as my family does!
🥘Ingredients:
Cheeseburgerito Filling:
- 12 oz Ground Beef
- ½ tsp salt *to taste
- ½ tsp pepper *to taste
- 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
This is the ingredient that makes your low carb cheeseburgerito taste like a classic cheeseburger.
It’s important to the flavor of the meal but you’re the boss and this is just a guide. Add more, less or skip it if you like.
Low Carb Cheeseburgerito Toppings:
- 4 oz Sharp Cheddar * or cheese of choice
- 1 oz Iceberg Lettuce *divided – about ⅛ head of lettuce shredded.
Of course you can use whatever lettuce or microgreens that you like on burgers.
- ½ cup tomato – diced
- 8 slices sugar free dill pickle *read the label- some brands are sneaky.
The “sweet and spicy” flavors always contain a bunch of sugar…I wish they didn’t because they are fantastic.
- ¼ cup green onion *or onion of choice – to taste
Green onions have less net carbs than most varieties of onion. We usually just use whatever variety we have on hand.
- 4 tbsp mayonnaise * or low carb burger sauce. Recipe linked in the post.
Wrap:
- 4 Low Carb Tortillas * Store bought (carb balance or similar) or homemade.
We have found that Sam’s Club offers Carb Balance Tortillas at a much better price than our local store or Amazon.
We are not huge Walmart fans but I feel like it’s important to help people save money when I can.
Optional Topping Ideas:
Think of whatever you normally like on cheeseburgers or burritos:
- Jalapeno slices
- Avocado Slices or Guacamole
- Crispy Chopped Bacon
- Bleu Cheese Dressing
- Hot sauce or Salsa
- Pico de Gallo
- Black Soy Beans
- Mushrooms
- Spicy Mayo
- French Onion Dip / Dressing
- Sweet Mustard Sauce
- Low Carb Ketchup
And if you have a taste for crispy dairy free Keto Tortilla chips, check out this recipe.
