So…this Low Carb Bacon Spinach Dip is just like the BEST spinach artichoke dip you have ever had except it’s SUPREME.
As in the supreme version of spinach dip. It’s the best that I have ever made or tasted.

And, I’ve had a lot of spinach dip because it’s the bomb when it comes to appetizers. If you take this to a party, don’t plan on bringing any home.
The Low Carb Bacon Spinach Dip Ingredients:
- 6 slices Bacon fried crispy and chopped
You can use more if you want to.
- 8 oz Cream Cheese softened
If you don’t want to wait for this ingredient to soften up just microwave it for 30 seconds before you start.
- 1/2 cup Sour Cream
- 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
- 12 oz Spinach
I use the frozen stuff and squeeze it dry after I heat it up in the microwave. You can use fresh if you want to. Just cook, drain and squeeze as much liquid as you can out of it.
I am too stingy with fresh spinach to do this lol.
- 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese shredded
The kind in a can will work too.
- 3/4 cup Mozzarella shredded
- 7 oz artichoke hearts drained and chopped fine
- 1/4 cup walnuts chopped (Pine nuts can be used too but are pretty expensive).
- 1 tbsp Parsley fresh, chopped fine
If you are missing this ingredient it’s fine to use dried, but only use 1/2 of the amount in the recipe.
- 1 tbsp Garlic minced
Fresh or dehydrated works with this ingredient but if you are using powder, half the amount.
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
This provides a little twang. In a pinch you could sub in apple cider vinegar or citric acid.
(I always keep this on hand because lemons aren’t always available at my tiny mountains store).
Bonus: It gets the dishwasher sparkling clean for pennies on the dollar compared to what the commercial”dishwasher cleaner” costs. It’s made out of citric acid too.
If you ever decide to go this route, make sure to get food grade citric acid.
- 1/4 -1/2 tsp red pepper flakes *optional but AMAZING
- Optional 1 tbsp dehydrated onion
You can use fresh onion or green onion (chives), but I love the way dehydrated onion tastes in dip. Is this weird?
Who care’s it’s good.
The Low Carb Bacon Spinach Dip Topping:
- 1/4 cup mozzarella shredded
Low Carb Bacon Spinach Dip Instructions:
- Fry the bacon in a pan until crisp. Set the bacon on paper towels to drain. Preheat your oven to 350F.
- Chop bacon finely and reserve some if you want to sprinkle it on top when you serve the dish. It’s not necessary but it’s a nice touch.
- Mix ALL ingredients besides cheese topping (and bacon if using) until combined and dump into an oiled baking dish. Smooth top and sprinkle on “topping” mozzarella.
Taste this before you put it into the oven. I think the cheese provides more than enough salt but only you can decide what “enough” means to you.
- Bake until heated through and bubbly with the top slightly browned. About 30-35 minutes is usually enough.
- Serve with veggies, low carb crackers or whatever you like.
Other Uses for this awesome Dip:
- Use it on pizza with this low carb crust.
- Put it on zoodles or stuff mushroom with it. (Bake at 350F for 45 minutes).

That’s all for today Keto People!
Spinach is a great source of vitamins and minerals.

As always, live well and Keto On!
