If you’re like me, you’ve been waiting for Fall. And, do you know what that means besides Pumpkin Spice? It’s time for Football and the snacks that come with it! No matter what else is being served, dip is a classic choice for a Football snack. Our Keto BLT Dip is sure to be a hit with everyone. I mean, who doesn’t like BLT’s??
Not only does the Keto BLT Dip taste amazing but it also has less carbs than most dips. So whether you’re hosting an outdoor party or just hanging out with friends at home this season – bring out the dip!

Look at this combo! It comes together better than a bunch of hipsters at a beard convention!
Keto BLT Dip was inspired by my Low Carb Chicken Dip, and pairs well with sliced veggies and the chia seed crackers.
Ingredients

- Cream cheese
- Mayonnaise
- Green onions
- Cooked bacon
- Diced tomatoes
- Shredded lettuce
- Pepper
See recipe card for quantities.
Instructions
Before starting BLT Dip, make sure your cream cheese is softened. This will make the process A LOT easier.

- In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, mayo, half the onions, and pepper.
- Spoon the cream cheese mixture into a serving bowl and spread out evenly. Layer with the shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes and chopped cooked bacon.
- Top with the remaining green onions.
- Serve with sliced veggies or low carb crackers.

Hint: If you are making this ahead, assemble the cream cheese portion and wait until you are closer to serving time to add the bacon, lettuce and any other toppings. Wilted lettuce sucks and kills curb appeal.
Substitutions
Are you one of those “I just use recipes for a guide type?”. Great! Me too! Here are some ideas if you are one of those overachiever- my dip is going to be better than the recipe types.
- Lettuce – instead of ice berg lettuce, you can use romaine lettuce or spinach. Although, iceberg held up better in the test runs.
- Cheesey Sauce – try adding 1/2 mayo and 1/2 sour cream to the cream cheese for a new flavor profile.
- Bacon – I don’t normally recommend Faken but it’s your life and if you want to live it that way I won’t stop you.
- Green Onions– Go nuts. Add any type of onion you like but remember that regular onions carry way more carbs in their cells than green onion or chives.
Variations
This is the fun part. You can change up your dip by adding new ingredients like sliced olives, banana peppers or cheddar. Here are a few more ideas to get you started.
- Spicy – add red chili pepper flakes or chopped jalapenos to the cream cheese to imbue heat into the dish.
- Deluxe – add guacamole and blue cheese dressing to your layers and the party will be in your mouth.
- Kid friendly – serve with some regular chips if your kids like those better and they are allowed to have them. Keto policing isn’t cool.
Equipment
Equipment can have a big impact on how a recipe turns out.
This recipe doesn’t really need any special equipment but a great cast iron pan can make getting your baking crispy without burning it a little easier. I LOVE this set.
Storage
I am a huge fan of making things ahead of time if I can. Especially if I am making food for a party or get-to-gather (get-to-gether?).
Anyhoo, you can do it with this recipe if you keep the toppings like bacon, tomatoes and lettuce separate until you are ready to serve.
Just mix up the bottom cheese layer and add the bacon, lettuce, tomatoes and green onion topping when you are ready to rock.
*These ingredients don’t stand up well to freezing.
Top tip
As an experienced Home Keto Chef I have made a lot of bacon. And, I have burned my share too. Here’s the skinny on bacon:
You might feel like the key to crispy bacon is high heat. But there is a super fine line between crispy and burnt. That line is about 1.2 seconds long and if you are using cast iron (which holds heat) you might find the raw/black timeline is even less time than that.
Keep your pan on medium heat and your instances of disappointing, soul sucking, black bacon will be a lot less often. Cheers!
