Hey there! This Keto Cream Cheese Frosting recipe is tried and true and I know you are going to love it.

I have been making this recipe for the last few years and finally thought I should share. With only one net carb per serving, you can have it whenever you want.

You’re going to want to save this one…

🥘Ingredients:

  • 8 oz Cream Cheese room temperature

Cream Cheese is easier to work with when it’s room temperature.

  • 1/2 cup Butter Softened- not melted

You want the butter to be soft but not warm. If its too hot you’ll end up with soup.

* We used 1/4 cup as we do not like overly sweet frosting. But you can use as much as you like. It has to be powdered.

If you don’t have powdered sweetener, put it in the blender and blitz for a minute. It will grind it up so that your frosting isn’t grainy.

  • 4 tbsp Heavy Cream *add one tablespoon at a time until fluffy.

Heavy cream is really the best option for this.

I think you could use almond milk but it will leave you with flat frosting. The heavy whipping cream fluffs it up.

You can add more if you are looking for a stronger vanilla flavor for your Keto Cream Cheese Frosting.

You can also add a tablespoon or two of cocoa if you want chocolate cream cheese frosting.

👨🏽‍🍳 How to make the frosting:

  • Cream the butter and cream cheese together until smooth.

Add the sweetener and whip in until smooth. Add in the vanilla continuing to mix.

Add in the heavy cream a little at a time until frosting is nice and fluffy.

I use my Kitchen aid mixer to make this recipe in a snap.

  • Let whatever you are going to frost cool completely.

Frost and store finished product in the fridge for 4-5 days.

📋 Tips & FAQ’s:

Can I freeze this recipe?

Nope.

I mean I guess you could but it is so much better fresh. It will get weird and watery if you just freeze a container of frosting.

You can cut it in half if you won’t be using all of it within 4-5 days.

How can I change the flavor of the Keto Cream Cheese Frosting?

  • Make chocolate frosting- add a tablespoon or two of unsweetened cocoa powder.
  • Make Cinnamon Frosting – Add a tablespoon or two of cinnamon
  • You can add any extract you like to make a new flavor.

Just remember to taste your finished product to ensure it doesn’t need more tweaking.

What is this frosting good with besides carrot cake?

That’s all for the Keto Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe!

As always, I hope you love this recipe and drop me a comment if you have any questions.

Cheers Keto Friends!
