White Russian – Make “The Dude’s” drink Keto.

I am excited to share the super simple Low Carb White Russian with you! It’s thick, creamy and gorgeous in the glass.

It has a festive look to it and it’s also the Big Lebowski’s favorite drink.

Serving a low carb white russian

☕Ingredients:

  • Cold Brew Coffee – * or strong brewed coffee if you don’t cold brew.

Cold brewed coffee is excellent in this cocktail that usually calls for sweet liqueur.

  • Vodka

Use a good quality vodka and you can skip the booze to make a a “virgin” version.

Add as much or as little as you like.

  • Heavy Cream
  • ice

🍸How to make the White Russian:

1.) Add vodka, cold brew, and sweetener to a rocks glass, and stir until sweetener dissolves.

2.) Add ice ¾ of the way up the glass, and pour heavy cream over the top. Taste and adjust the sweetness of the cocktail. Cheers!

Do not make this drink ahead of time.

Since you are using heavy cream, it’s best to make the White Russian right before you drink it.

How do I make Cold Brew?

Cold brewing is a delightful way to make rich, smooth coffee.

You’ll need a cold brew pitcher and 12-24 hours. If you love coffee but not the bitter aftertaste, this method is for you!

Can I use Almond or Cashew Milk instead of heavy cream to make the Low Carb White Russian?

Yes. The Low carb White Russian with heavy cream is calorie intensive. Using a sugar free nut milk will significantly lower calories but it wont be as rich and creamy.

I have gotten some mixed reviews about how the end product turns out when you skip the heavy cream…really, it’s up to you.

Notes

You can add sugar free almond milk instead of heavy cream to dramatically cut the calories but it will not be as thick and luscious (of course).
