This low carb sausage meatzza recipe is sausage pizza without the fuss of making the crust! The sausage is the crust!
I guess it’s pretty standard Keto friendly fare but I was worried that it would be too much meat for me in one serving. I didn’t like the idea.
But, I was wrong! It’s a damn delicious recipe and we’ll be having pizza night a lot more often now.
🥘Ingredients:
- 16 oz Ground Sausage * Italian – mild or hot
Technically you can use any ground meat. Beef, chicken or ground turkey will work. But the cooking times may vary.
- 1 Egg
- 6 oz Mozzarella
Optional Low Carb Pizza Toppings
I didn’t add pizza toppings to the recipe since everyone has their own favorite. Here are a few ideas…
- Low Carb Marinara
- Sliced Tomato
- Pepperoni Slices
- Bell Pepper Slices
- Olive Slices

📋Cooking Tips & FAQ’s:
I don’t have a cast iron pan! What can I do?
I love my cast iron pans. But it’s not a deal breaker if you don’t have one.
You can roll the crust between two sheets of parchment peel the top layer off and bake on a parchment covered baking sheet.
Can I double this recipe?
Yes, no other changes are needed. You can keep leftovers in the fridge for 3-4 days and reheat in the microwave.
This seems like a lot of meat!
I though so too but one you bake the crust it doesn’t feel like “too much”. You’ll eat small slices because this pizza is super filling.
What’s good with the Sausage Meatzza Recipe?
I would say a salad or veggie heavy side to keep it all balanced.
