 Restaurant-style air fryer tofu snack at home. Is it even possible? Yes, my friend.

This Keto-Friendly Air Fried Tofu recipe makes impossibly crispy fried tofu snacks without any flours or powders and fewer calories than traditional deep frying in just a few minutes.

🥘Ingredients for the Tofu Snacks:

  • 16 ounces extra-firm tofu
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

👨🏿‍🍳How to prepare low carb air fryer tofu:

1.) First, Press the tofu: Take a cutting board and line it with a clean towel. Next, cut the tofu into cubes or whatever the shape you like on the board.

Set a cookie sheet or another cutting board on top and then something heavy, like a cast-iron skillet.

2.) Press for at least 15 minutes. Or you can use a  use a tofu press if you have one.

3.) Take a small bowl, whisk the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil in it.

Now add the pressed tofu to a bowl and drizzle the marinade over them.

Toss gently to coat the pieces gently but be careful not to break them up. Let the tofu marinate for at least 15 minutes or chill in the fridge for up to 24 hours.

4.) Next, Place the tofu in the air fryer in a single layer so the pieces don’t touch each other.

5.) Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook in batches. Cook at 390°F or 198C for 10 minutes and shake the basket. Let them cook for another 5 -10 minutes or until you reach desired crispiness.

6.) Serve while hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Absolutely yes!  It will keep for 3-4 days in the fridge and can re-heated in the air fryer (best option) or in the microwave.

Well, to get the desired crispiness in your tofu snack, follow all the recipe instructions. Press it well to remove extra water from the tofu.

Ingredients
  

  • 16 ounces extra-firm tofu

  • Press the tofu: Cut the tofu into cubes or whatever shape you like and on a flat surface such as a cutting board lined with paper towels or a clean towel. Set a cookie sheet or another cutting board on top then something heavy, like a cast iron skillet. Press for at least 15 minutes. Or use a tofu press if you have one. Your towel will be soaked.
