Awesome food should always be appreciated.
I should know, food appreciation is like my super power.
And there is nothing that enhances a good meal like good Keto sides.

Okay, maybe good wine is up there on the enhancement scale and who knows maybe I will write a Keto wine pairing post. In fact, I can definitely recommend this warm Mulled Wine if the season calls for it.
Most red wine is Keto and the dry whites are low carb.
Keto means your not going to eat a ton of carbs but that absolutely doesn’t mean that you can’t have some really great sides.
Here are some awesome sides – 11 of them. You should be able to find something that you love.
You can have them for Thanksgiving or any holiday get-together
And there are Keto sides that are easy enough to have when you’re pressed for time when making a weeknight dinner.
Even though some of them sound gourmet and exotic don’t be scared – they really are pretty easy.
Thai Cucumber Salad
The first of the 11 great Keto sides is one of my favorites.
It sounds like there should be some mystical ingredients involved but there aren’t. You probably have everything you need to make it in your kitchen.
If you like Thai food you are going to love this one.
This is great addition to almost any meal – I mean I don’t know how well it would go with pancakes – but I said “almost.”
It is a fantastic way to add a little sweet & spicy to a traditional turkey dinner.
Garlic Parmesan Green Beans
Here’s one that is easy and traditional.
Anytime your asked to bring a side-dish or a veggie to a potluck this is a wonderful choice, especially if you can get some good fresh green beans.
But this recipe works fairly well with frozen green beans too- in fact if you’re pressed for time I would recommend the frozen because you don’t need to snap the stems off.
Broccoli Cauliflower Amish Salad
This one is from Hilda over at fittoservegroup.com.
The Amish have always known how to add veggies, and this salad is a fantastic way to add some veggies and bacon to your meals.
Keto or not, everyone will love this salad.
Raw veggies and especially raw broccoli are more nutritious. Combined with bacon and sour cream, it’s delightful.
This is a great side for any holiday. It will be just as well received with turkey at Thanksgiving as it will be with ribs on the 4th of July.

Jalapeno Poppers
This has got to be the best party food ever invented.
But it also works well as a side or an appetizer.
When the whole wide family gets together and everybody brings something we like to bring jalapeno poppers. ( No one else ever brings them but they are gobbled up fast).
If they don’t get eaten before everyone sits down, I like to have them in place of a potato.
Faux-tato Salad
I am sure that this one is the biggest surprise of my Keto life.
I could do without baked potatoes, but potato salad has always been one of my favorites.
This is not a joke, I repeat not a joke, boiled radishes are a great substitute for potatoes.
We took Faux-tato salad to a get-together and didn’t mention that it was made from radishes, and the only thing anyone had to say was how good it was.
Without a doubt, if you miss potato salad you will love this.
My favorite of the great Keto sides.
Creamy Garlic Mushrooms
The kind folks over at Diethood.com nailed this one.
If you want to get a little fancy and really wow your dinner guests or you just want a really delicious way to enjoy some mushrooms you have got to try this recipe.
If your holiday plans involve roast beef at all this is a great Keto side that will certainly bring that meal together.
Creamy Garlic Mushrooms are a tiny bit more involved than some but don’t be intimidated, it’s worth it.

Low Carb Sweet Potato Casserole
Thanksgiving is nearly upon us and the nice people over at WholesomeYum.com have got a Keto version of sweet potato casserole that is going to make you feel nostalgic and all warm and fuzzy.
This is made of butternut squash and cauliflower and topped with crushed pecans that are sweetened and spiced with cinnamon and garlic.
It’s delightful, it’s sweet, but not sweet enough that it will wreck your Keto pumpkin pie for dessert.

Bacon Fried Cabbage
If you need a side dish that goes with almost any cuisine, this is a good one.
Simple to make and if it is not a favorite already it will be. It’s also a min dish if you are feeling like keeping it simple.
This one made the make-again-list in our house on the first taste – that’s how it got on the Great Keto Sides list too.
Honestly what could be a better addition to turkey dinner bacon and a little spice.
Mashed Cauliflower
We had some of this last night with smoked ribs.
Mashed cauliflower is surprisingly easy and crazy how much it taste like mashed potatoes. ( I know some of you don’t think so).
They’re fantastic by themselves, but they are also great with some melted butter or Keto gravy.

Bacon Ranch Broccoli Salad
This is another one for that old adage everything is better with bacon.
This is a Keto friendly – low carb – side dish that everyone will fall in love with.
Bacon and cheddar in a healthy and tasty combination with broccoli onion garlic and dill.
Even all the not yet Keto people are going to understand how it is one of the great Keto sides.

Keto Classic Coleslaw
And on to the last of our 11 Great Keto Sides – Classic Coleslaw.
Sure it is a great summer side. It’s a go-to with fried chicken or ribs or any kind of BBQ.
It also goes with turkey, ham or roast beef.
The creamy sweetness, especially topped with some freshly ground pepper will bring any meal together.
So there you have it. Keto is easy healthy and delicious. And you absolutely can have some sides fantastic sides.
Live well friends, and Keto On.
