When looking for Keto Desserts, I am still drawn to the chocolate treats that I sought out before I went low carb. My mother in law says that dark chocolate is almost like medicine…and she is the most disciplined eater that I know.
She doesn’t do Keto but after 80 something years of healthy eating, she knows what she is talking about. The cravings never fully go away.
There are some amazing recipes here and even more amazing people who are sharing their hard work with the rest of the Keto World.
Without these fantastic recipe developers the Keto Diet would just be another diet that most of us would ditch after the first week of cravings caved our resolve. So pull up a chair and check these out.
I know every chocolate lover will find something here to suit them….
These are mostly fancy, date night worthy chocolate desserts. I hope you find something that you love.
1. Worlds Best Keto Brownies
These delectable little treats weigh in at only 2 net carbs each!
These tender, dark and chocolaty brownies don’t give off the “cool sensation” that most treats made with erythritol do.
They are excellent plain or studded with chopped walnuts or almonds. And, they are even tastier the day after you make them. It gives the flavors time to blend.
These sweet treats are also highly adaptable to whatever “extras” you liked in your brownies pre-low carb mode. I think one of the biggest bonuses is how easy they are to make. My twelve year old can make them with ease.
Make sure that you allow enough time for these babies to cool. Since they are made with almond flour they need to set if you intend on handling them without them falling apart.
2. Keto Chocolate Truffles
I love truffles and these are no exception!
4 Net Carbs Each
These truffles are beautiful, dark and rich. Be careful though, they are so good that it’s easy to lose count of how many you eat.
Containing only four ingredients is a major plus for me and they don’t take long to make either.
These are made from an awesome Keto Friendly ganache that can be used as a glaze, filling, frosting and the core of these wonderful truffles. You don’t need to be experienced to make these and they are worth every second of your time.
Add them into your carb count for the day so that you stay on track with your goals.
3. Dairy Free Chocolate Silk Pie
This pie is silky and rich!
6.6 Net Carbs
This pie is an absolute delight! It is a little higher in carbs but you can always choose a smaller piece to fit it in with your goals.
The huge plus with this recipe is that it’s completely dairy free for those who just can do dairy. The coconut flavors blend perfectly with chocolate and almond slivers to make something reminiscent of the Almond Joy taste.
Chocolate pie has always been a favorite of mine but I just cant handle all of the sugar and dairy together anymore. It’s always been my choice for my birthday but a few years ago I realized that I would need to find a new favorite…
I was beyond thrilled when I found this healthy version of one of my all time favorite treats.
4. Keto Triple Chocolate Cheesecake
This Chocolate Cheesecake is definitely date night worthy!
Net Carbs 4.68
So I am going to say something pretty controversial…I don’t like cheesecake unless it’s chocolate. I know, everyone thinks it’s weird.
They also take a lot of time and effort. This one is no exception. You need to plan ahead with this one. But it’s worth it.
I made this one because my husband needed some cheering up and loves cheesecake. The chocolate and twang of the cream cheese & sour cream create a party in your mouth and it has the advantage of looking fancy for a date night dessert.
It’s a beautiful, guilt free Keto Dessert recipe that will make you glad that you tried it. The instructions are great and easily understandable for a novice.
5. Keto Death By Chocolate Cake
Chocolaty chocolate cake!
Net carbs: 5g
Oh my god! This is a Keto version of my sister in laws famous chocolate cake!
If you are going to make this be prepared to put in some effort but the quality of this cake is amazing, Keto or not.
This would not normally make my list of Keto Desserts because I try to stay time conscious but I had to try this one. It took me a little longer to make than the recipe suggested, but we all know that you have to add in cooling & decorating time. I wanted it to be pretty.
Most of the ingredients are already in your pantry if you have gone Keto. The chocolate chips are low carb and can be found here if you are curious as to what is being used. They are a little more expensive than the sugar laden version but soooooo worth it if you are making this for a special treat.
This one is a chocolate lovers dream whether you are on the low carb Keto path or not.
6. Boston Cream Cheesecake
Boston Cream Cheesecake!
2.2 Net Carbs per slice
This one brings a little tear to my eye. My father in law loved Boston Cream Pie and I am certain he would have approved of his favorite being made into a cheesecake version.
This is a rich and creamy dessert that tastes as wonderful as any high carb dessert. Lisa at Lowcarbyum.com out did herself on this one!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this creative and imaginative, low carb take on a classic!
Make sure that you have a spring-form pan before you get your heart all set on this one. And, you should try to follow the recipe as it was developed unless you have an allergy to something specific. Its fantastic just as it was developed!
7. Chocolate Strawberry Cheesecake For Two
Strawberry Cheesecake for Two!
5.17 Net Carbs per serving
Okay, I know there are a lot of cheesecakes in this post. But they make the perfect low carb, Keto Chocolate Desserts because they are packed full of the delicious flavor that you normally find in regular, high carb desserts.
You don’t have to change much to make them Keto friendly, therefore making them the closest to the “real thing”. I like that.
While I said that I really only like chocolate flavored cheesecake, this one was a surprise. Strawberries and chocolate are a natural shoo-in for the upcoming “Valentines Day” holiday.
This dessert is perfect for two and it won’t be hanging around for days to temp you into over eating in the carb department.
Plus, look at how adorable this is! Thom and I shared this and it was super satisfying without being “too much” chocolate for his taste buds.
8. Sugar Free Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Chocolate Covered Strawberries!
Strawberries and chocolate are a classically romantic pair. While it takes a few more obscure ingredients than the high carb version, this is easily the simplest Keto Chocolate Dessert recipe on this list.
These are perfect for Valentines Day or any day that you want to make a little bit more romantic.
This is a quick and easy treat that you can keep in your arsenal for a quick and simple dessert for company or your special Keto loving partner.
They are also easy enough to make that I would make them just for myself (which I never do with dessert).
9. Low Carb Chocolate Cupcakes
Adorable Chocolate Cupcakes that make the perfect serving size!
These awesome little treats are a fantastically cute lower carb version of the classic Valentines Day.
There is no nutritional info on the post but as best as I could figure, they were about 5 net carbs each. But feel free to do your own calculations. I had to include them because they are so stinking cute and taste delicious (even without the chocolate hearts on top).
10. Heart Shaped Chocolate Cake
This heart shaped cake will make someones day!
4 Net Carbs per slice.
Sooo adorable! And, easy to make. This is an indulgent treat without the sugar. The heart shape is a classic Valentines day (or any day) treat for that special someone.
I skipped the gummy treats on top and used strawberry hearts instead.
11. Low Carb Chocolate Truffle Creme Brulee
Chocolate Truffle Creme Brulee!
8g Net Carbs
So this one will need to be added into your carb count for the day but it was worth it for me. Chocolate truffles and creme brulee are two of my favorite things so I NEEDED to share this with you.
It can be served as a fancy treat for company or…you can keep it all to yourself. It’s that good.
I halved the recipe because I didn’t want to be temped to eat it all by myself.
12. Chocolate Cappuccino Cheesecake
Chocolate Cappuccino Cake!
So this one has about 10 grams of net carbs per small slice (16 slices for the whole cake).
Feel free to do your own calculations ( I know it’s a pain) but I felt like adding this cake was imperative for the post. It is delicious and I made it for some Non Keto friends get together!
It’s still technically low carb but can pass for the high carb version.
Although, it may be better suited for once you are just maintaining your weight instead of the start of the Keto Diet because it’s easy to over do it on carbs with this one.
13. The Ultimate Gluten Free Chocolate Cake
YUM!!! That is all I have to say about this beauty!
2 Net Carbs per small slice
This is a gorgeous cake. Although mine didn’t come out quite as pretty, it tasted fantastic!
The best part of this cake is that it’s a gluten free version for my friends and readers who have gluten sensitivities.
This cake is delicious and perfect for any special occasion.
You can make several different versions of this recipe according to how much time you have as well as he extent of your decorating skills. Don’t let the gorgeous photo intimidate you. There are instructions for the sheet cake version to save time and for those of us who are less talented with a piping bag.
Gnomgnom.com is an excellent site for your Keto cravings and she always does a fantastic job explaining each step as well as including ALL of the nutrition info.
I switched out the xylitol for allulose because I have some gut issues with xylitol….you can check out Keto Sweeteners on this post. You can decide for yourself but I stick to erythritol because I feel like it’s the safest and closest to sugar that you can get without the nasty inflammation and carbs.
14. Silky Chocolate Avocado Mousse – Keto & Low Carb
Finally! A healthy low carb mousse that will stick with you!
5 Net carbs per serving.
So I have to admit I was suspicious of Avocado and Chocolate being mixed together. No matter how many rave reviews I have read about chocolate & avocado together, this took a bit of persuasion to try.
I am absolutely glad that I finally did. This is a healthy treat full of the fat and potassium that you need as well as looking and tasting decadent.
Surprisingly, this one made it onto our “make again” list at our house.
As a Keto blogger, I tend to make a recipe a couple of times to “perfect” it and move on. But this one will show up again soon.
If you miss ice cream, try this. You won’t be sorry.
