3/4cupgreen onion* white or red onion are good too -chopped
1-2jalapeno pepper *chopped- serrano peppers can be used if you like more heat.
1/2cupcilantro chopped
2Tbsplime juice
1/2tspsaltto taste
1/8tspblack pepperto taste
1-2clovegarlic* optional - a strong garlic flavor will emerge after 24 hours.
Instructions
Dice all vegetables, add to a medium bowl with lime juice,, salt and pepper.
Serve right away or cover and refrigerate overnight for the best flavor. Keeps for 3-4 days in the fridge.
Notes
The flavor of this pico de gallo improves after 24 hours.
