Peel orange with a sharp knife in strips. Try not to get the pith (white part) but it wont hurt you if there is a little left on the peel.
Push cloves into peel.
Put the clove-studded orange peel, anise star, cinnamon, ginger, water, and eryrithritol in a saucepan
Over medium heat. Bring to a simmer,
Simmer for 10 minutes stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat, and add wine. Let stand for 20 minutes to mull.
Just before serving, reheat mulled wine until just beginning to simmer. Do not boil!
Garnish with a cinnamon stick and serve warm.
Notes
Notes: If you would like it a little stronger you can spike it with little Vodka or Brandy. Brandy does have more carbs but it the traditional add in for this drink. Don't forget to keep track of how much you add.
