This cold, refreshing drink of Summer's finest flavors can be kid friendly or made into a fantastic cocktail by the glass. This Italian inspired sugar free drink is perfect for a the scorching days (and evenings) ahead.
Place strawberries in a large bowl and crush with a fork. You don’t need to pulverize them, just enough to break them up so that they can fit through a straw. Add lemon juice, stir and set aside. If you’ve decided to sweeten it up, add the allulose.
When ready to assemble, add ½ of strawberry puree to each glass. Add 3 fresh basil leaves and a couple of ice cubes. Pour mineral water over top and serve with paper straws.
To make this a cocktail, add 1.5 oz of your choice of alcohol to each glass. Vodka is a popular choice for this drink.
